ABOUT
A once in a lifetime opportunity to access to the dam line breeding of the daughter of the CCI5* mare Pencos Crown Jewel who was 9th at Badminton in 2023 via a truly striking colt foal by Timolin.
This fcolt foal embraces everything that modern International event horse breeders are looking for in dual purpose youngstock that can easily achieve the sub 25 dressage scores that are now becoming the norm in order to secure the best CCI4* International Eventing and CCI5* International Eventing podium places.
The all important dual purpose breeding via the legendary Totilas's son Timolin
Timolin who is owned by Jennie Lauriston-Clarke at The Catherston Stud has successfully evented to CCI3* and compted in pure dressage at Grand Prix. Timolin is a son of International Team Dressage super-sire Totilas and hence Timolin's significant talent for pure dressage at this level. Timolin was evented in the UK by Gubby Leech and Izzy Taylor (see photos).
This colt foal is out of the mare Jamakin Faerie Folklaur who is a daughter of the CCI5* mare Pencos Crown Jewel who was placed 9th at Badminton this year with Ros Canter, 11th at Burghley in 2022 and 4th at Bicton CCI5* in 2021. Pencos Crown Jewel was also the WINNER of the inaugural Event Horse Owner Association (EHOA) 4* league in 2022. Pencos Crown Jewel is the maternal sister to LORDSHIPS GRAFFALO the 2023 Badminton CCI5* winner.
Lordships Graffalo was 2nd at Badminton in 2022 which was his first run at this level and 4th at the World Games in Del Pratoni Vivaro on his first Team GBR call up with Ros Canter as a 10 year old.
The influence of International Eventing Super-Sire Jumbo
Both Lordships Graffalo and Pencos Crown Jewel are out of the exceptional mare Cornish Queen, but they share different sire lines as Lordships Graffalo is by Grafenstolz and Pencos Crown Jewel is in fact by Jumbo. Jumbo is the sire of TWO International Event horses that can take acclaim for winning SIX CCI5* Three Day events between them. Jumbo's son Avebury (see photos) ridden by Andrew Nicholson (NZ) WON THREE three back to back Burghley Horse Trials. Jumbo's daughter Headley Brtiannia (see photos) ridden by Lucinda Fredericks WON Badminton CCI5*, Kentucky CCI5* and Burghley CCI5*. Headley Britannia's trio of CCI5* wins also secured the ROLEX GRAND SLAM OF EVENTING
This colt's frame is very much in the stamp of both Lordships Graffalo and Pencos Crown Jewel in that he has powerful quarters, incredibly correct limbs and a great length of rein. For those looking for 1.60m jumping breeding will be pleased that his dam's sire Lauriston show jumped at 1.60m.
Cornish Queen on this foal's dam line benefits from the appearance of Ben Faerie in his pedigree who is the sire of Ginny Leng's Team GBR Championship & CCI5* rides Priceless and Night Cap.
A highly desirable future in both the sport and in breeding !
This colt is an exceptional International Eventing prospect with Championship Teams set in his headlights or would make a WORLD CLASS STALLION PROSPECT for an ambitious International Event Horse Stud who are wanting to leverage these exceptional CCI5* Eventing genes that are only offered for sale just once in 2023 and cannot be bought outside of the UK. This colt's sale is not subjext to VAT, he is based in the UK, he will be available at weaning and he has 37.50% Thoroughbred blood.
